The 4103 is available as a 1 to 4 continuous pen instrument with an 8 Hz sample rate (4103C), or as a multipoint instrument with up to 6 inputs plotted (4103M). The instrument has a high level of functionality in a compact housing with the option of PC cards for configuration storage, or transfer of process data to computer data base, or spreadsheet packages. Extensive mathematics capabilities include totalisers, timers, counters and logic which allows real time presentation of calculated data. The 4103's annotation allows scale and message printing and time tagged numerical values. Perfect for applications where full use is to be made of recorded data. The 4103 is fully configurable from the front panel making this the ideal instrument for applications where configuration needs to be regularly modified.

PC Interface
The 4103 can be viewed as a true data acquisition centre with local printing, communications and data storage. This gives the user the best of both worlds; high integrity real time paper recording coupled with the ability for further analysis of the data on a PC. The communication interface allows two way communications (up to 19,200 baud) with the inbuilt MODBUSTM protocol ensuring compatibility with any standard SCADA software and other types of industrial equipment such as PLCs. The 4103 can be configured off site using a PC with the configuration being transferred via PC card. Such cards can store several configurations which can be used for batch applications. Sample Data from the recorder can be stored on a PC card in a comma delimited ASCII or compressed format. The card can then be read by a PC where it appears as a standard disk drive.
