The 394 is a clear step forward in circular charting technology. Four colour printing, allowing for 6 traces, together with annotation produces a clear and easy to read chart.
The 394 is fully configurable from the front panel, which makes it ideal in situations where a cost effective tailor made solution is required. Two levels of access to the instrument are available as standard with the higher level being password protected. The first level allows operator access to a range of facilities needed in day to day monitoring. The second, higher level access, allows entry to the more complex input and configuration areas.
Optionally the 394 can have a PC card reader fitted. The reader is compatible with computer industry standard SRAM PC cards. These can be used to store the recorder's configuration, or data storage. The data is stored in an ASCII format, compatible with standard spreadsheet packages, or in a compressed format for use with the Eurotherm Chessell Review software.
The communications option further enhances the flexibility of the 394. This option uses the Modbus © RTU protocol ensuring compatibility with standard SCADA software and other types of industrial equipment such as PLCs. The RS485 wiring specification allows multiple instruments to be connected on a single communications link.
The instrument can also be fitted with extensive maths capabilities which includes counters, timers and totalisers as well as standard equations for mass flow, humidity and many others.
